This week, it is International Week of Happiness. The children took part in a class circle time/ assembly and discussed 'What makes you happy?" The children were able to discuss things and people that make them happy. Here are a few quotes from children across the school.
"I feel happy when I am with my parents."
"I feel happy coming into school as I feel safe."
"I feel happy when I play with my friends."
The children have been making the most of the weather and enjoying playing with all the different playground equipment at lunchtime. They have been staying active by playing our new swing ball, skipping, using the climbing frame, playing basketball and football and many more!
Some children have even enjoyed playing games on the picnic benches, such as the stacking cups, the large dominoes and noughts and crosses.
Year 5/6 Carver Class had their first Ukulele lesson, which will be run by Enfield Music Services each week. All the children were very eager and excited to be learning this instrument and are already looking forward to their next lesson.
All the children had a great first day back at school. The children were excited to see their new class teacher and classroom. During playtime, the children enjoyed being reunited with their friends and playing all the different play equipment in the playground.

This morning we had our last assembly of this academic year. Children were awarded an attendance wristband if they had an attendance of over 96%. Some children had even achieved 100% attendance.
We said goodbye to some staff who are leaving us, and also our Year 6 children. We watched a wonderful slide show of some memories of their time at Delta.
