  • 100% Attendance Breakfast

    Well done to all the pupils who have been in school every day this Spring term and have achieved 100% attendance. The children were awarded a 100% attendance certificate and a 100% attendance pencil. Followed by a celebratory attendance breakfast.

    We expect all our Delta children to be punctual and attend school every day so they do not miss out on all the exciting learning and wonderful events that take place.

  • Pupil of the Term, Outstanding Kindness and Attendance Celebration

    Our celebration assembly took place this morning where we announced who was the Pupil of the Term for each class and for each curriculum subject. Once again, the pupils were nominated by their class teacher and each chosen pupil was awarded a certificate and given an eggs-cellent treat. The teachers also chose one pupil from their class who has continued to follow one of our values - Kindness throughout this term. This term, children were also awarded a certificate for achieving an attendance above 96% alongside those who achieved 100% attendance. Well done to all our Delta children for their achievements.

  • Spring Term Poetry Performance

    Another successful school calendar event, is our poetry performance to parents. We had glorious weather and our Delta children did an amazing job at bellowing out their class poems with confidence and pure joy. Thank you to all our Delta families who came to watch the performance and your generous donations, which we go towards funding some of our end-of-year events.

  • Year 3 Mini Zoo visit at Capel Manor

    Year 3 took their learning experience outside the classroom and visited the mini zoo at Capel Manor. This term the class have been learning about rainforests and biomes. During the trip, the children were able to look at the animals and compare and contrast their natural habitats with their own. The children were exceptional at following our school values outside of school.

  • Eid and Whole School Celebration

    As many of our school community celebrate Eid, the children came to school dressed in their Eid/Party clothes alongside others from other religious backgrounds and beliefs. There was a special whole-school assembly followed by an afternoon of arts and craft activities and celebrations in each classroom.

  • Year Rec/ 1 and 2 Mother's Day Stay and Play

    This afternoon, we had our wonderful mummies, aunties, sisters and grandmas join in our Mother's Day Stay and Play. Everyone participated in various Mother's Day activities. Wishing everyone a Happy Mother's Day for this Sunday.

  • Year 5/6 British Museum Trip

    Year 5/6 Jemison went to the British Museum in Central London. The class were consolidating their knowledge, skills and understanding about their topic on the Ancient Greeks. The class were exposed to many historic artefacts and participated in a tablet tour to further inspire their learning about the Ancient Greeks. Once again, the children were able to have a valuable learning experience outside the classroom. Many members of the public also commented on how sensible the children were when visiting the museum.

  • Year 2 Class Assembly - Red Nose Day

    Year 2 performed their class assembly for the whole school, then to parents and families in the afternoon. The children raised awareness about Comic Relief - Red Nose Day! The children told jokes, and showcased how people and celebrities around the UK raise money by 'Doing something funny for money!' An important message about 'Kindness is our superpower' was also shared and how small acts of kindness can make a big difference!

  • Year 3 Volleyball

    This half-term, Year 3 have been thoroughly enjoying their PE lessons and learning how to play volleyball. They have certainly been perfecting their skills and know how to communicate with each other and work as part of a team.

  • Year 5/6 Poetry Recital to the Local Community

    Year 5/6 Jemison class took part in a Community project and visited St James Community Centre. The children recited their poetry from this half-term and read to individual members. This provided a memorable experience for the community members and our children. The class teacher reported that the children were exceptional at upholding our core values outside the school.

  • Year Reception/Year 1 Furry and Scaly Workshop

    Today, our Year Reception/ 1 Kahlo class took part in a valuable learning experience that enhanced their knowledge, skill and understanding linked to their Science topic 'Comparing Animals.' 

    The furry and scaly workshop taught the children about the animal kingdom alongside the children getting up close and personal with a variety of animals.

  • Liz the Chameleon

    One of our Year 3 children and parent bought their pet 'Liz the Chameleon' to school. The class's Geography topic this half-term is 'Why are rainforests important to us?' The children focused and learnt about the different rainforests and wildlife animals.
